Outfits!

There's one thing about me that's always left people quite confused: I like different styles. I guess people just wanted to stick a label on me so that they could figure out "what" I really was. When you're an alternative, people are rarely interested in "who" you are; they'd rather focus on "what" you are, wouldn't they?
By the way!
What I was trying to say is that you can see me in two totally different outfits from one day to the other. These three last outfits, which I wore at work in the last month, are the perfect proof to what I'm saying.

In chronological order...

I love this picture <3 the photographer of the even came himself to ask me whether he could take one. He asked me to strike the classic pin-up pose and well, I did my best XD

This one I'm kind of proud of. I'd been planning to wear this outfit since I bought that shirt months ago XD for some reason, I like to think I took inspiration from Chloe McGruff (the protagonist of Don't Trust the Bitch from Apartment 23). You know: a bit trendy, but with an alternative vibe. And in fact I met a girl and she told me I looked kind of gothish, so it still showed what my nature really is X°D
I had a long interesting chat with that girl, until she asked me "listen, that guy behind you, is he het...?" (since we were at a gay friendly event).
"That's my boyfriend", I replied.

Here you should be able to see my accessories a little better (if you right-click on the pic, you can open it in a new tab and see it in a better resolution).
The necklace is the "I wanna do bad things with you" one from Restyle; on my right wrist, a chain bracelet. On my left hand, the Vivienne Westwood replica ring that the girl aforementioned complimented me on so much, before telling me what she really was after from the very start of our conversation XD.

And this is from last night. I'd forgotten my waistbelt at home X°D and I think I should have added more necklaces.
Also, in this pic you can't really see my hold-ups, so here's another one where you can XD

The dress, the creepers and the bracelet I'm wearing on my left wrist are new <3!
The dress is exactly what I was looking for: a plain, black dress without sleeves. Believe it or not, it took me the whole summer to find one!
I'd been longing for a pair of creepers for ages before getting these ones... they are unisex, which means they have a straight platform, and the platform is double. They're perfect, but not as easy to walk in as I thought.

Close-up on my accessories <3 the necklace is quite old, while the bracelets are quite new.
The last one, on my left wrist, I found in a small boutique in a small town where the friendliest gay guy showed me spiked and chained leather bracelets telling me that they were inspired from some Dolce&Gabbana collection. I guess he told me that because that day I was dressed in pink and he thought I was a fashion victim who needed to be reassured that they looked rockish, but hey!, rock chic, like, from brands...! Ahah XD

Bonus pic of me wearing a pink wig XD I kind of like that colour; when I was younger I wanted to dye my hair that exact bright pink XD they told me it looked very good with black. I think so too :D!

I hope you liked my outfits, even though they were not all goth <3 does any of you like different styles, like me?

Harajuku Fashion Walk

So, uhm, since the photographer is not going to give me my full photoshoot any time soon X°D, I'll just post the pictures I have - which are just random pics someone took during the walk XD.

I decided to pull out an ero-loli outfit not only because quite few people know and wear ero loli, but also because it was HOT AS HELL outside and I knew I wouldn't have been able to keep on tights or knee-high socks, or, worse, a blouse!, all day. This is the same reason why I didn't wear a wig, even though I had one with me. Actually, it was so hot that I got a sunburn on my shoulders.
It had never happened to me before, to get a sunburn while I was walking, but I hadn't taken into account the fact that Venice is near the sea. Or better: it is an island, so it was like I'd been on the beach without my sunscreen. That sunburn took me almost three weeks to heal X°D

You can right-click on the pics and open them in a new tab for a better resolution :D

This is all of us together. We were quite a few, huh?
Someone brought a child <3 can you see that little blonde girl dressed in white, in the middle? She was so adorable. I mean literally; when she had to go home, she came to each one of us, she hugged us and gave us a kiss on the cheek. So sweet <3!

These are close-ups on me, which doesn't really make sense to post since you can't see my face - which is pretty much the point of a close-up XD but you can see my dress and my accessories, which are the most interesting things about me XD
I don't know why my hair looks reddish, I guess that's because the photographer played around with saturation and lights. You can see its real colour in the pictures below :D

This is Beatrice, who came in a country/classic outfit. They asked us to pose together because of the contrast between our outfits :D
Later on we exchanged clothes and she gave me a gorgeous pink classic dress; I have to wear it at least once before summer's over... but I don't have proper shoes for classic >_<!

The girl sitting below is the photographer <3

And these are pictures of the lolitas in the event! There was only five of us (there was a girl with a casual lolita outfit, but she isn't in this pic; you can see her in the first picture, she's next to us). I was very surprised, since in Italy the most well-known japanese alternative style is lolita. But luckily, we had quite a lot of diversity :D!

All in all, not everyone was wearing a japanese style, but oh well, it was nice to spend a day with a lot of alternatives who liked manga and anime and fashion just like I do. I can't wait for the next Harajuku Fashion Walk :)!
Has any of you ever been to one? :D

The Muse concert

Almost two months later, ladies&gentlemen... the pictures of the Muse concert!
These were taken from my cousin's boyfriend, I was too busy jumping and singing at the top of my lungs :D unfortunately, since it was dark and we didn't have proper camera equipment, they came... well, as good as they could XD but I guess they can give you an idea of the setting.
It was my first big concert and I was very excited; the Muse were extremely good, you couldn't tell any differences from the studio versions. Also, it was so fun seeing my beloved Matt jumping around in his skinny red pants <3 jokes aside, he's extremely talented and so is the rest of the band; their performance was flawless.
Some friends told me that you can't really say you've been to a concert if you were sitting in the box seats, but let me tell you a few things: for one, I didn't have to stay in line for half an hour just to take a pee, because we had proper loos, and they were clean too...! Secondly, I didn't have anyone jumping in front of me, preventing me from seeing the concert or stomping on my feet or hurting me in some way. Call me a sissy, but I'd like to actually *see* the concert and to actually *listen* to the music, as peacefully as I can, and that wouldn't have been possible for me if I'd been in the field.

That said, here are the pictures! They're in quite good quality, so you can right click them and open them in a new tab if you want to see more details :D.
The first one, of course, is my outfit :D. I had to go for "comfortable", so I know it's really not my best outfit (agh, that bumbag... that's the most horrible thing I've ever worn).

[Yes, they're exactly who you think they are :D there was even Angela Merkel, and at a certain point a wild naked Berlusconi appeared! They might not have known he hasn't been our premier in years XD]

[You can see from the angle of the camera that I was pretty far from the stage, right? Believe me or not, whenever the fire came out, I felt a wave of boiling heat.]

[This one was taken during Unintended, which is a very sweet ballad. It was so romantic <3]

[And this one was during Guiding Light. That little sparkling thing that's hanging from the bulb is actually a PERSON, and she was DANCING. That was so amazing!]

[Can you see it? That was a robot :D quite huge, actually! But he was soooo cute, he appeared before the concert and once in a while he blurted out "Unsustainable...!" and in fact he came out again during Unsustainable, which, for the record, is my favourite song in The 2nd Law.]

I have to admit it might have been even more exciting if I'd been on the field, especially because I could've stood still and jumped as much as I wanted, but I'd also have been forced to stay still the whole time, so.
Also, in the afternoon the weather was very hot and there wasn't even an inch of shadow in the field, so all in all I guess my choice was good.
I'm very happy I went and saw them; they've been one of my favourite bands since I was a teen and they definitely deserve to be seen live, trust me :D.

Have a nice weekend you all ;*!

My 25th birthday ^^

Uhm, I'm a bit late... like, almost 20 days late... XD but my boyfriend handed me the pictures just the other day D:
And next time I swear I'll post the pics of the Muse concert X'D

Well, let's start with my outfit :D

I finally got the chance to wear that dress! (And those gloves, but mostly the dress)
Sadly, it's not that flattering on me. I mean, the top part of the dress is an actual corset with boning and everything, so it kind of flattens my chest XD
But since it's so pretty, I don't mind. I kind of like the outfit I pulled out; but I'd like to wear that dress in some other way than with the usual fishnets&platform shoes. Do you have any suggestions :/?

And these are the presents I got.

Let's see them all in detail :D

The bag was from a coworker of my dad. She was such a doll; she brought me to a shop and told me to pick a bag. I chose this one 'cause I needed something to go with sweet and classic lolita outfits, and coloured clothes in general. It's cute, isn't it?

That figure over there is KAWORU <3
He's a character from Neon Genesis Evangelion (well, actually, this one's from the Rebuild of NGE). I already had two Medicom Real Action Heroes figures of Evangelion; I've been eyeing this one at the comic shop for (I'm not kidding) THREE FUCKING YEARS. Three years of me looking at it drooling and mumbling "one day you'll be mine, one day I swear I'll have the money and you'll finally be mine". In fact, the only reason why I hadn't bought it yet was that it is EXTREMELY expensive. I'd already spent pretty much the same amount of money on Rei and Asuka, and I'd done it gladly, but would not spend so much money for him, even though I wanted it so badly.
But my boyfriend knew how much I longed for it, so, together with my friends and his family, he managed to buy it.
When I opened the package, basing on the shape of the box and on its colour, I knew what it was even before I actually saw it. Then I started screaming.

And since my boyfriend wasn't satisfied with that huge present he had made me... he also bought me a book he knew I wanted because he had heard me saying that at a bookshop. He remembered that. Plus he bought me books!! No one ever buys me books (except for him :D) even though people know I'm quite the bookworm. I guess that's because I talk about clothes and figures more than I do about books but that's just because very few of my friends enjoy literature, so I just keep the topics shallow. I'm so lucky my boyfriend knows me so well <3
(Oh! It's Vanity Fair by Thackeray by the way :D)

My boyfriend also made me this birthday card; it's meant to represent my own throne XD while the various stuff represent him and my friends. He made them with magnets so that I could move them around the drawing XD that was so incredibly sweet.
I'm so grateful to have such a thoughtful and loving boyfriend, and not only because he buys me great presents. Anyone can buy you expensive stuff, but it isn't necessarily stuff that you like. You can tell who really cares about you when you realize that they've been listening to every single thing you've said and that they've kept it in mind in order to make you happy. This really means a lot.

And lastly...
I really don't know what to say here; talking about people who take note of what you say and remember that and then make you amazing surprises.
While it's kind of normal coming from your boyfriend and/or close friends and/or parents, I would never, ever had expected this from someone who has never even seen me face to face.
I'm talking about Caitlin and her unbelievable kindness. I don't even remember where I said I wanted Cupid, maybe in some comments many entries ago. And I don't know if this was meant to get to me on my birthday, but it did, and if it was, it would be even more surprising to me because that would mean that she remembered that one year ago I mentioned when my birthday was.
I mean: there's a super sweet girl who lives on the other side of the world who cared about my tastes and wishes more that the majority of the people I see on a daily basis.
How awesome is that, when people surprise you in such a good way? It warms your heart, doesn't it? As for me, it really made my day.
So, Caitlin, if you haven't read my email yet, let me thank you so much for what you did. More than the doll itself (which I truly wanted, and immensely liked!), what really moved me was your thoughtfulness, and your generosity. I hope I can get in touch with you soon ;)!

Oh, and also, my relatives gave me money and my parents decided to pay for most of the expenses due to me scratching the side of my car D: which was all their fault by the way 'cause they are the ones who decided to destroy our gate and build a new one that's even narrower, I'd never scratched my car before so that means that it's EXTREMELY difficult to get through our new gate, everyone says so -.- but oh well, enough complaining; in the end I was lucky they agreed to pay for most of it as a birthday present X°D.

Have a nice Sunday ;D and thank you for reading!
